Abstract
The article examines the phenomenon of organized crime from a cross-border and international perspective.
In the first section, the concepts are substantiated, both from a doctrinal, as well as a legal point of view. An important part – in content and in scope – is devoted to the analysis of the European policies and strategies, focusing on the EU’s security policy.
In the final part, certain solutions to combat the phenomenon of cross-border crime are put forward.
